What is modification approval?
Modification approval (endringsgodkjenning) is a formal technical approval confirming that a vehicle still meets the requirements of the Norwegian vehicle regulations after being modified. It is carried out by an approved inspection body, with Statens vegvesen as the supervising authority, and requires documentation of what was done and who did it.
Why we only work with deregistered vehicles
The rules on modification approval and periodic inspection apply to vehicles on public roads. A vehicle used only off public roads — for example for competition or sporting driving on a closed track — is not subject to these requirements. That is exactly why SSSTuning has taken this line: it gives a clean framework with no approval questions and no grey areas.
